?? In November 1991, the band On A Friday played for 25 A&R (Artists and Repertoires) people from different record labels. The show here was convincing and they were soon signed to Parlophone (EMI Records) a few days later.
Radiohead’s first interview was generated from that performance and printed in the now defunct Curfew Mag. The site was called The Jericho Tavern at the time, and would soon change its name back to the same one.
Other established bands that played there include Foals, Ride, Supergrass, Pulp, Mumford and Sons, etc.
